Better Nights

This last couple of weeks have been heavy times for me. Deep thoughts brought about by events near my outer wall of influence. I am looking forward to happier times in the weeks ahead but never a dull moment.

Today, when I got home I picked up my daughter from her swing, she smiled at me, and made her baby sounds to welcome me. My six year old asked how my day was at work and then sat down beside me so we could watch Sponge Bob. My eldest daughter stopped by a little later and wanted to talk about a video game we play. All while my wonderful wife prepared dinner and engaged us in good conversation.

This is Heaven on Earth and I can think of no better way to close the day.
